So it's been 2 months since Jeffrey's surgery, and hasn't been as fast as a recovery as we were wishing for... sometimes it doesn't feel like he is even recovering! *sigh* God is really testing us on this one! Since the surgery we've had some good days, where we'll even go out to eat (AMAZING!) or go walk in the mall and not have horrible pain. We are sooo thankful for those few good days! However a lot of the days might seem just as bad as before the surgery, and he has tested his limits too far 3 times already and paid the price with about a week of bad pain before just getting back to the small amount of pain he has to live with. As you can imagine, this makes for a pretty tough living situation. So now we are learning to live within his limitations as he recovers, he has been able to go flying again now and will try for his high performance rating tomorrow so he can fly some faster airplanes. Well whatever makes him happy I say!
So in the midst of all this happening the past few months, we've gone to the beach, visited MOSI, fixed a broken laptop, planned a trip to Switzerland, then had to cancel, went and looked at houses/condos in Daytona Beach in anticipation of Jeffrey attending University again there this fall. Hopefully we'll find something on a lake or water for Jeffrey and something a bit bigger than our last place for me and little Vincent! :) Looks like we might be managing a liquer store there for his parents if things work out right.
I sold my car (finally!!) to a girl from Latvia for the summer, she's very nice and so I hope that will work out well!
I've been delving into 'mystery shopping' and found a good reoccurring one with the Tampa Airport and that has been a quick way to make a few bucks.
I'm trying to learn Quicken so it will do my book keeping *yuck* for me!
Mostly I spend my time caring for little Vincent and watching over the home. If I'm lucky I'll get some time to watch 'So you think you can dance' as that show makes me smile! :)
Little Vincent is a sweet lil thing who enjoys coloring, reading, sesame street, playing outside, anything with wheels or that flies, and is a bit stubborn with talking or signing. He is starting to say Please,Dog, Duck, Go, Va, Golfcart, Armadillo (which comes out as diddlediddle), and I even hear a bit of 'Dad' when I say Grandad! He's a reluctant talker, the little stinker!
Hmm I really need to upload some more pictures of Vincent... *sigh* I'll get around to it when my memory card is full! ;)
Love, Haley
